This is an ongoing series of work which Ray started in 2000 on an extended Bengali family in Kolkata.

When he first came to know the family, what attracted him was the bond the members share. Despite their differences and the occasional acrimonies, the pros of an extended family have outweigh the cons, keeping this large family together in a time where the nuclear family has become the most accepted form of living among the middle-class.
