The SIPF is an ardent advocator of showcasing independent, long-term or ongoing projects. For the following components, curators appreciate and are interested to review photography works encompassing Contemporary, Documentary, Art, Conceptual and Photojournalism aspects.

SIPF 2010 creates that special space for aspiring and established artists to call their own where they have this golden opportunity to bring their works to prominence collectively for the international audience to appreciate.

The festival starts with open call with a refreshing concept of two categories for submission. The first category continues with the tradition of being ‘theme-less’ with the sole purpose of ascertaining original, contemporary works and talented individuals. For the second category, the festival invites and encourages distinctive artistic interpretations of the theme, Human: Nature.

Emerging Photographer Workshop/Portfolio Review

SIPF 2010 bends the learning curve by offering varied and exciting occasions for everyone to congregate to share exchange and participate in intelligibly knowledgeable discourse on issues related to photography. Limited to 30 participants.

Please note these programmes are only applicable for Southeast Asian nationality. During the festival, there will be events and workshops open to general public.

Well distinguished, qualified guestspeakers and curators will do us the honour by spearheading these programs, sharing with us their knowledge and providing useful advice to participants.

SIPF Travel Grant Assistance

Southeast Asian artists selected for exhibition/SIPF Workshops/Portfolio Reviews are advised to apply for the grant to cover the cost of the workshops, materials and part of their travel expenses on a reimbursement basis. Grant approval will be considered on a case to case basis. Grant amount range between SGD$200 – SGD$500 does not cover the entire cost. Hence participant is advised to apply for grant assistance from their local arts agencies or foundation.
