Seok-Woo Song (b.1993, Seoul, Korea) reflects on his studies of social relations, interactions and overarching frameworks governing social behaviours through the use of gestural movements and performance. 

He graduated with a Bachelor of Fine Arts from the Department of Photography and Media in Daegu Arts University and subsequently earned his Master’s Degree from the Department of Photographic Design at Hongik University’s Graduate School of Industrial Arts.

Solo exhibitions include “Wandering Wondering” at ARTBIT GALLERY, Seoul, in 2020 and “RECOLLECTION : Portrait Of The Days Of Youth” at Palais de Séoul in 2019. He had participated in group exhibitions on international platforms such as the 14th Krasnoyarsk Museum Biennale, Daegu Photo Biennale, Jeonju International Photo Festival and Dong Gang Museum of Photography, amongst others. He was a recipient of the 18th Photography Criticism Awards (2021), International Photography Awards ‘Silver’ in Monograph, IPA (2018) and was named the best artist in the ‘BELT’ photography category (2021).
