iola Lenzi, LLB, PhD, is a Singapore curator, historian, and critic of contemporary Southeast Asian art. Her research and exhibitions connect art and social-political developments in post-1970 Southeast Asia. She has solo or lead-curated some 40 exhibitions in Asia and Europe, and is the author of Museums of Southeast Asia (2004), and Power, Politics and the Street: contemporary art in Southeast Asia after 1970 (2024). She teaches Southeast Asian Art History and Curatorial Practice at UAS and at Nanyang Technological University, Singapore.
