Aliaksandra Vialichka (b. 1993, Slonim, Belarus) is an artist researching political emigration, post-truth, trauma, and especially traumatic experiences. With a master’s degree in radiophysics, she explores the themes of her projects through artistic practice and interdisciplinary collaboration, using photography and programming.

In 2020, in Belarus, she was sentenced under the political article 23.4. Following harassment by the authorities and subsequent summonses, she was forced to flee the country. She currently lives and works in Warsaw.

In 2023, Sasha graduated from the School of Modern Photography and Journalism “Fotografika.” In the same year, she received a scholarship from the Ministry of Culture of Poland’s “Gaude Polonia” program under the tutelage of photographer Adam Panczuk. She was also awarded the Conrad Pustola Memorial Fellowship from Criticism of Politics. Her project “State of Denial” has been featured in exhibitions at the Circulation(s) photo festival in Paris and the Zachęta National Gallery of Art in Warsaw. Sasha has been published in several media outlets, including Magnum, PHmuseum, The Steady, Fisheye magazine, ORONSKO, SZUM, Dodho, and others.
