Quiet Press is an independent publishing platform focused on photography and book-making based in Singapore.

It is the self-publishing arm of Jay Lim, developed from his research into quietness as a mode of communication in photography that can bypass censorship. Since then, we have been thinking of ways of incorporating the quality of quiet into books.

We focus mainly on photography and art books, but are still currently exploring how to better define this space for ourselves. We are interested in lens-based media and works that engage with the concept of photography.

Our goal is to make work that requires people to slow down and listen, and have fun in the process of making and sharing.
