Lorong Stories: Geylang invites audiences to discover Geylang through photography, exploring the neighbourhood’s layered heritage, architecture, communities and everyday life. Presented as part of SIPF2026, the programme extends photography beyond the gallery and into the streets, heritage spaces and local businesses of the precinct.

Through exhibitions, photo-walks, workshops and artist talks, audiences are encouraged to slow down, look closer and encounter the stories embedded within Geylang’s Lorongs and streetscapes. The programme brings together Singapore’s photographic practices with the living character of one of the city’s most distinctive neighbourhoods, revealing how different places and communities continue to co-exist over time.

Responding to SIPF 2026’s theme, ‘In My End, My Beginning’, Lorong Stories: Geylang considers photography as a way of connecting memory, place and contemporary life. Whether discovering Geylang for the first time or seeing it anew, Lorong Stories: Geylang offers an invitation to walk, observe and experience Singapore through a different lens.
