SIPF Portfolio Review is a springboard for works to be picked up by local and international reviewers. This year, we have a wide selection of portfolio reviewers ranging from editors to curators to festival directors. You will get to present your works to these professionals and receive useful advice and guidance on your works and careers.

In this 6th edition, a participant will be awarded the Best Portfolio Review Prize which gives him/her the opportunity to hold a solo exhibition in the next edition of SIPF in 2020.

Each participant can meet 7 reviewers of their choice, in a one-to-one individual 20-minute session. Participants should bring their actual printed portfolio for review. Presentation of digital files on a laptop is possible but not encouraged.

Preferences
Clements is keen to see photographers who are interested to discuss ideas and she is open to see work at any stage of project development. Anything from documentary, photo-journalism, archive, photo/cross artform installation and contemporary/narrative photography, including film and performance. She is less interested to see travel, commercial, advertising, stock unless they fit into the above.

During the review she can offer supportive critique on creative practice and advice on strategies for the promotion of work and conceptual project development ideas for exhibition in gallery or public space. Photographers can expect supportive discussion on their projects, ideas and if relevant, referrals and suggestions for venues or avenues for progression.

In exceptional cases, Clements may offer opportunities to exhibit or participate in QUAD/FORMAT programmes including residencies, participatory and other projects. However nothing will not be offered during the reviews, but will be followed up on after if appropriate.
