Lydia Wong-Plain (Dr.) is a researcher working across museums, exhibition-making, and cultural institutions. Her research examines museums in postcolonial Singapore as sites where cultural policy, curatorial practice, and vernacular expression are continually negotiated. Her work also unfolds through curatorial and community-engaged projects that explore non-canonical histories in dialogue with civic institutions.

She is a Senior Lecturer at Nanyang Academy of Fine Arts, University of the Arts Singapore, and serves as a District Councillor in Singapore. Her writing appears in Detours: A Decolonial Guide to Singapore (Duke University Press, forthcoming).
