SIPF Portfolio Review is a springboard for works to be picked up by local and international reviewers. This year, we have a wide selection of portfolio reviewers ranging from editors to curators to festival directors. You will get to present your works to these professionals and receive useful advice and guidance on your works and careers.

In this 6th edition, a participant will be awarded the Best Portfolio Review Prize which gives him/her the opportunity to hold a solo exhibition in the next edition of SIPF in 2020.

Each participant can meet 7 reviewers of their choice, in a one-to-one individual 20-minute session. Participants should bring their actual printed portfolio for review. Presentation of digital files on a laptop is possible but not encouraged.

About the Reviewer
Kim Jeong Eun is an editor-in-chief of IANN, the contemporary art magazine in Asia and a founding publisher of IANNBOOKS starting in 2007. In an effort to introduce the contemporary photography scene of Asia, she continues to publish numerous art and photo books.

Serving as the chief coordinator of DAEGU PHOTO BIENNALE 2012 and curator of SEOUL PHOTO FESTIVAL 2010, she has been widely involved in activities within the field of photography, while engaging in collaborative art projects commissioned by corporations. From 2017, in order to exchange information on the arts and to activate a networking community among the countries of Asia, she co-founded UNIT CIRCLE, a non-profit international group centered around editors.

Currently Kim is focusing on the issues of art-related investigation and documentation within the frame of “art and city”.

Preference
Kim is interested in reviewing all types of works dealing with the contemporary condition in a fresh and innovative way, regardless of theme, subject or style. She is supportive of photographers in various respects.
