What does representation mean, and for whom? By thinking within the parameters of the photographic medium, this seminar unravels the concept of representation through the term “image equity,” mainly calibrated to the context of Singapore. It begins by considering exhibitionary “case studies” that have broached parallel concerns, utilizing them to map out propositions during the seminar.

Participants will be given opportunities to reflect on issues of photographic representation to inform their respective projects and/or gain critical awareness of socio-visual literacy.
