Hyunjung Son is a Seoul-based curator and critic specializing in photography and contemporary visual culture. She is a curator at Photography Seoul Museum of Art (Photo SeMA), Korea’s first public museum dedicated to photography. Since 2016, she has contributed to developing its collection and research framework. She curated the museum’s inaugural exhibition, The Radiance: Beginnings of Korean Art Photography (2025), and We Are Martin Parr (2026), a major retrospective of Martin Parr. She is a contributor to Aperture, a portfolio reviewer for KYOTOGRAPHIE and PHOTOFAIRS Shanghai, and a nominator for Foam Talent, C/O Berlin, and the Prix Pictet.
