“D-AI” refl ects on the manipulation of reality through the media and social networks, and how artifi cial intelligence can be used to create a distorted image of the truth. This work takes the form of a newspaper, compiling different news events (crimes), where both the texts and images have been developed by artificial intelligence.

Each news story is adorned with images that are variants obtained from the original photographs of a previous project, “Dai,” which questioned the media exploitation of murders committed in remote areas away from civilisation.

This process of text generation and image transformation is used as a means to expose how information can be altered for the benefit of various economic and political interests. The various variants obtained from each original photograph are unsettling and possess a disturbing quality, immersing the viewer in an emotionally ambiguous experience.

“D-AI” aims to raise critical awareness and foster debate about the information we consume in the era of post-truth and artificial intelligence. Through the combination of unsettling visual elements, presented in a familiar format such as a newspaper, the project invites an immersive artistic experience that challenges our perception and prompts us to reflect on the limits of technology and its influence on the construction of reality in contemporary society.

It is important to note that this conceptual description has also been generated by artificial intelligence, further underscoring the central theme of the project and the interaction between technology and artistic creativity.
