Born in 1996, Issam Larkat is an Algerian photographer and a sociology student. He is interested in the documentary aspects of photography and aims to capture the details of the relationships between places, people, their beliefs, characteristics, social status, and the ways in which these elements interact with and shape their surroundings. Larkat is also focused on exploring the counter-history role that photography can play.

He received the Prince Claus Seed Award in 2023 and was recognized as a FOAM Talent for 2024/2025.
