Liana Yang is no stranger to SIPF, having worked on four previous editions as project coordinator and assistant curator. For the 2020 edition, she embarks on the curator role for the Open Call Showcase that spans across six MRT stations and the main exhibition site at Emerald Hill. Although curating for Liana rooted out from necessary circumstances, she is passionate about highlighting the critical depth of the photography medium and presenting photographic works in unconventional ways or formats. Her formal interest in photography stems from her full-time practice as a visual artist working predominantly in photography and print mediums, having presented works both locally and internationally.
