Mould is a reflective documentation of the artist’s struggle with toxic shame, the internalised selfdegradation that are often ignored or undermined in the name of humility. Presented as a diaristic photobook consisting of photography, drawing, text and chat history, the work draws parallel between the mould in one’s surrounding and the shame in one’s state of mind. The documentation of coping mechanisms, such as self-isolation and self-inflicted harm, gives clarity to the mind-altering impact of toxic shame.
