Doris Gassert is Research Curator at Fotomuseum Winterthur, Switzerland, where she contributes to developing the museum’s focus on post-photographic practices and runs the discursive blog Still Searching… She holds a PhD in media studies from the University of Basel and lectures in photography and media aesthetics. Her research interests include contemporary photographic theories and practices, the networked image, the politics of representation and strategies of decolonization.

Exhibitions include Frida Orupabo – I have seen a million pictures of my face and still I have no idea (2022), Eva & Franco Mattes, Dear Imaginary Audience, (2021), as well as SITUATIONS, a collaborative and experimental exhibition format around the networked and algorithmic image (2015–2021).
