Ticketing and Cancellation Policy: 9th SIPF

In these terms and conditions, “DECK” and/or “SIPF” refers to DECK Photography Art Centre Limited, the festival organiser of the Singapore International Photography Festival, including any and/or all of its authorised representatives, agents, and/or employees.

All tickets, e-tickets, vouchers, passes, packages are referred to as “Tickets”. Guests who have purchased tickets as referred to as “Ticket Holders”. Masterclasses, Seminars, Workshops, Weekend Activities and other events are referred to as “Programmes”, whereas Exhibition Entry, Talks, Tours, are referred to as “Festival Events“, and Festival Passes are referred to as “Passes“. Spaces where the events are held are referred to as “Venues”. Ticketing agents including but not limited to Eventbrite Inc are referred to as “Ticketing Platform”. These policies shall apply to all persons at the Venues, including but not limited to holders of Tickets to Events to be held at the Venues.


Ticket Purchase

All tickets will be sold by our Ticketing Platform, on behalf of DECK & SIPF.

Cancellation Policy: Exhibitions & Passes

All ticket sales for Festival Events and Passes are final. There is no refund, exchange, upgrade, or cancellation once ticket(s) are sold.

Standard Cancellation Policy: Programmes

If ticket holders have already registered and are unable to attend the programmes, our cancellation policy is as follows, unless otherwise stated:-

  • 11 days or more before the start date: 70% refund on Full Ticket value (minus 30% administrative charge)
  • 10 days or less before the start date: No Refund
  • If the minimum capacity for the workshop is not met one week out, we may postpone the workshop and ticket holders will be offered a full refund and be informed of alternative arrangements.
  • In the event of the cancellation of the workshop, ticket holders will be informed of the refund procedures and alternative arrangements.
  • Any request for refunds must be made through our Ticketing Platform. All refunds will be handled by the ticketing platform in accordance with their schedules, policies, and guidelines.
Ticket Delivery

E-tickets will be sent to the email address that ticket holders have provided at the time of purchase, and handled by our ticketing platform.

Programme Entry and Admission

Admission to the programme is subject to the presentation of a valid ticket, which may be scanned or checked for authenticity at the entry point. Ticket holders must adhere to the programmes and/or exhibitions and/or passes’ terms & conditions, including but not limited to any age restrictions or prohibited items. Concession ticket holders must present valid identification at the door for admission. We only accept government-issued IDs and digital IDs via Singpass, and student passes issued by the relevant authorised institutions.  DECK & SIPF reserves the right to deny entry to ticket holders without the necessary and/or valid ID at is sole discretion.

Pricing and Fees

Ticket prices are subjected to change without notice. Additional service fees, handling charges, and taxes may apply and will be clearly outlined during the purchase process.

Transferring your Ticket

Tickets may be transferred to another person only through the same ticketing platform that you have bought your tickets from. The name on the transferred ticket must match the ID of the new ticket holder. Resale of tickets is strictly prohibited on unauthorised platforms. Tickets found to be resold through unauthorised channels may be invalidated at the sole discretion of DECK & SIPF.

Accessibility

Most of our venues are accessible by wheelchair and ticket holders with service dogs are welcomed. We kindly request that ticket holders with accessibility requirements write in to our programmes team at programmes@sipf.sg with your various requirements so that we will be able to advise and make provisions in advance. Companions of ticket holders requiring accessible seating will be accommodated as much as possible.

Photography & Videography

DECK & SIPF may have photographers and/or videographers on-site documenting the workshop/programme/event. As a ticket holder, you grant explicit and informed consent to DECK & SIPF to use any audio recordings, video recordings, and/or photographs taken during the event for marketing purposes and the promotion of future workshops, programmes, and events. This grant of permission is permanent, royalty-free, worldwide and may occur on mediums including but not limited to social media, printed media, electronic direct mailers, etc.. If you prefer to opt out of this consent, please contact us at programmes@sipf.sg, or inform a staff member at the programme and/or exhibition.

Cancellation or Postponement by SIPF

In the event of the cancellation or postponement of the programme by SIPF, ticket holders will be notified via email or other contact information provided at the time of purchase. Information regarding rescheduled dates, refunds, or alternative arrangements will be communicated with the ticket holder at the soonest time frame possible. If a Programme is rescheduled, original tickets will be honoured for the new date. If the new date is not convenient, ticket holders may request a refund within a specified period.

Code of Conduct

All Ticket holders are expected to conduct themselves in a respectful, lawful and responsible manner during the programme and/or the exhibition, adhering to all applicable laws and/or regulations. Violation of the code of conduct, disruptive or unsafe behaviour may result in removal from the venue and/or debarment from the entirety of the programme/exhibition and/or future programmes/exhibitions without any refund or compensation.

Limitation of Liability

By participating in the workshops, programmes and activities organised by DECK& SIPF, Ticket holders hereby acknowledge and agree to release, indemnify, and hold harmless DECK Photography Art Centre Limited and its affiliates, officers, directors, employees, agents, and representatives from and against any and all claims, liabilities, damages, losses, costs, and expenses (including reasonable attorneys’ fees) arising out of or related to your participation in workshops, programmes and activities organised by DECK & SIPF, including but not limited to travel-related incidents, accidents, illnesses, personal injuries, or property damage.
