The Portfolio Review was introduced in 2008 during the inaugural edition of SIPF. Since then, it has grown in its network of art professionals and leaders from cultural institutions, galleries, academia, and publications. This programme serves to provide professional opportunities for artists and practitioners to meet with industry stakeholders. For the 9th Edition of the Singapore International Photography Festival, we have invited over 15 reviewers who will be conducting one-to-one consultations in hybrid formats.

The Portfolio Review forms one of the three components featured in Asia Meet, alongside the festival’s Photo Market and Masterclass programmes.

Additional Information:
  • If you are unable to join us in Singapore for the physical leg of the Portfolio Review (18th & 19th Oct), you are welcomed to join us for the online leg of the programme (1st & 2nd Nov). Whilst it is entirely possible to participate in the reviews fully online, we strongly recommend that you only select the ‘5 Reviews’ option. Each reviewer’s availability—whether physical, online, or both—is indicated here.
  • Each review appointment will last for 20 minutes. The duration of each appointment will be similar for both physical & online reviews.
  • The fees for both the Physical & Online reviews will remain the same.
  • The pairing of the Reviewers and Participants will be arranged by SIPF on a first-come-first-served basis upon receipt of your payment, your review preference, and digital portfolio.
  • In the event of an unexpected cancellation of a Reviewer, the schedule will be modified and SIPF will strive to inform the affected Participants at the soonest possible timeframe. Participants will be offered a new appointment with another reviewer (subjected to availability) and be informed of alternate arrangements.
  • Any request to refund or cancel your ticket has to be made before 7th Oct 2024, 2359 hours through our ticketing platform or by email (programmes@sipf.sg). However, there will be a 30% charge on the full ticket value to cover platform and administrative costs that has already been incurred. No refunds will be issued for cancellations made after 8th Oct 2024, 0000hrs.
The Anton Gautama Professional Development Scholarship
  • DECK & the Singapore International Photography Festival (SIPF) is pleased to announce the continuation of the Anton Gautama Professional Development Scholarship that is created in loving memory of the late documentary photographer, Anton Gautama, who believed that the pursue of a photography practice requires an open mind for critique and continued learning to shape one’s photographic voice.
  • Applicants of South-East Asian descent are welcomed to apply for the scholarship to subsidise the cost of the programme fee directly related to Portfolio Review and selected Professional Development Programmes (i.e. Masterclasses & Seminars). The scholarship is open to applicants at any stages of their professional development — you do not need to be a full-time practicing photographer or artist to be eligible for the award.
  • For more information and to apply for the Anton Gautama Professional Development Scholarship, please kindly head to: sipf.sg/agpds24
  • The Anton Gautama Professional Development Scholarship is made possible with the generous patronage of Stephen Gunawan, Lisa Gautama and the Gautama Family.
